Details: I have a 1998 Cadillac Deville. It´s the 32V Northstar. It has 109xxx miles on it. It averages 20.5 MPG city and 24 MPG highway. There is NOTHING wrong with this car. The clear coat has started to do that fade/peel thing on the trunk, roof, and hood but it is not too bad yet. Everything works and it runs like a dream. I DO NOT even want to sell it but I travel a lot and honestly do not want to put the miles on it. Of course I am trying to find something much smaller. I do not have kids or anything so this is just too much car for me and my lifestyle. I am asking 3800 and I know it is well worth it. NADA gives a retail of 4562. It had a full tune up (including tires) in November and every oil change I have used synthetic oil. I would consider trade for a smaller car worth up to 1500 and the rest in cash. I do not know a lot about it but I will list what I can (and what I pulled from website). **2012 NADA shows Retail 4550/Clean 2450/Avg 1700 and Kelly Blue Book shows Excellent 3075/Very Good 2780/Good 2690/Fair 2120**It is very good cosmetic condition and looks (as you can see in photos) way newer than it is! It has 154K miles and the interior has only a few small marks on carpet, and the usual age related wear. There are a few small scrapes low on bumper on drivers side (looks like maybe a chain link fence marks)I can provide close up photos. The passenger´s door trim at the bottom has been screwed back on due to clips going missing but you cannot really tell that. It is I think called Sterling (silvery) and has Oatmeal interior. New tires were bought in late 2009 (due to vandalism) and it was driven very little after they were bought. Also new radiator iand brakes nstalled in 2009 (altho they are squeaky due to lack of driving right now). He always took great care of it and I have kept it under a car cover most of the time to keep it in good physical shape. It comes with the N. Star V8 4/6L engine, Auto trans w/ traction control, Air bags front/side, ABS disc brakes, daytime running lights, child safety locks, anti-theft security system, power windows/power heated seats, digital& analog gauges, controls on leather adjustable/tilt steering wheel for temp/radio/speed, CD player w/ 8 speaker system, 16´ P235 tires w/ aluminum sport wheels, full size spare along w/smaller one. Huge trunk w/ ´reach thru´ from back seat. ALL the things you would expect to find on a Caddie! Now to why I am selling it for less- In June 2011 I came out of grocery store and found a puddle under car. I tried to refill it but it just ran out again. I called a friend w/ flatbed and had him tow it home. It did NOT overheat or stall apparently I hit a stick or rock. Another person looked at it and said the overflow reservoir has a big crack in the bottom. I was not working at that time and had no funds to repair (apparently about 300 for the plastic box thing)and I am not a mechanic. Due to my lack of knowledge, I did not want to risk damage so I have only been running it enough to keep battery charged. It does run/idle but I didn´t want to cause issues so I have not driven it any distance since then. Man did look at it last fall and said it has ´misfire in 1 cylinder, crack in water tank and the idle control rpm is high´. I don´t know what this means or if this is at all true and have no way to find out. This means car is being sold ´AS IS´. . . the best I can tell you is that I don´t think it has a major problem, but I am NOT a mechanic. You are welcome to look/listen and test yourself. It needs to be flatbed towed since even I know you cannot drive without water. I hope you with more mechanical knowledge will take the opportunity to give this car a new home for a good price. It really is a pretty thing. I will only accept cash or certified funds and will certainly entertain a reasonable offer. Payment is due upon pickup. Get a great car at a great price and call now!!
