Details: This is a 4 door, 1958 Cadillac, 365cu engine. It is a complete car, and looks like its all original. I bought it 1 1/2 years ago and drove it home to restore. I began removing chrome, sanding down to the metal, applying rust inhibitor, and priming. I have completed approximately 30% of the exterior. The floorboards are rusted out, but I have purchased a brand new set of floor boards, they just need to be welded in. There is some surface rust that seems to sand off easily, and there is typical rust around the front and rear windows and the trunk lid. Needs some work, but a great fixer upper. INTERIOR is like brand new with NO tears splits sags worn spots or anything in fact never smoked in all ashtrays & lighters are as new BODY is nice all around from bumper to bumper PAINT is still real shiny (Real Dark Metallic Green?), TRUNK is real cleanTIRES are all matching & in good conditionGLASS has no issuesENGINE 275 HP NorthStar starts runs drives really nice with no rattle skip smoke knock leak or anything else to put a frown on your faceSUSPENSION also behaves just as it was meant to - tight with the air ride working fineFRONT END seems very tight with no shakes shimmys or pullingBRAKES act as good as newDIGITAL INSTRUMENTATION is all lit up as it should beHEAT & A/C as well as thermostat work just fine - heat is hot A/C is coldELECTRICAL is almost perfect. Drivers window small issue (just started)EXHAUST is Stainless Steel so no issues there. Muffler & catalytic converter & O2 sensors are fine. You can tell the 139k original miles on this car are PAMPERED miles and GOOD on gas too!THE ISSUE with this car is the Torqe Converter is going out. Doesn´t stay in overdrive for long, so I drive it in 3rd or regular drive and keep it around 50 mph around town. If you are mechanically inclined then this one is a STEAL! I HATE to even consider getting rid of this car, I just bought it 2 weeks ago and it is EXACTLY what I wanted. I needed a car ready to go and was not financially prepared to do anything to this one. My loss is your gain I have the title clear and in my name I do not know what I am looking for now, if you have any trade suggestions I am open to at least consider them.
